Home care

The home is well maintained with two residential mothers. Daily devotions, family time and house work are managed by mothers and the girls.

Home visits

While the children are at school staff members take opportunity to visit girls’ homes to sensitize the parents/care givers about the dangers of sexual exploitation and also to help equip parents/care givers on how to help their daughter stay out of trouble when resettled. The home visits are also used to prepare parents/care givers to receive the girls back once resettled.

A number of events are organized annually. These include:

  • Xmas parties
  • partners gatherings
  • parents meetings
  • Cocktails
  • Golf tournments

In 2008, the girls were invited to perform at the National Theatre in a UN event that was sensitizing the public about Human Rights violation world wide. The girls performed a dance and a documentary about the history of Rahab was viewed.

The staff and working committee are involved in fundraising activities all year round. A number of individuals & corporates are approached with some of them responding positively.
